  1. The pending Mormon rift with the potentially new GOP is interesting. Not sure where Mormons will go. Not sure where “new” GOP & offshoots will go.

    1. Trump is not the future of the GOP. Around 55-60% of Republican voters are casting ballots for someone else. If nominated, he will lose in November.

      In the future Republicans will be judged on the basis of whether or not one opposed Trump. Mormons are well positioned to answer that question.

      1. If Trump wins the nomination but loses the general (still iffy despite his huge negatives) he’ll still significantly change the party. At a minimum he’s shown that conservatives in the GOP aren’t the majority they thought. I think he’s caused riffs that simply won’t heal.
